How do programmers in the West see programmers in the East? To 1&2 no I didn't answer his question, but precisely what you said, I voiced my opinion about what I see (no rants) because I read all the western views and bad experiences and noticed a little pattern. I only tried to talk about my perspective from here. 3. Yea was ironic for me too, I didn't intend for it to be an answer but some sorta opposing view! =) |

Interview question: which is the time period estimated by you to learn Java A good programmer can just pick up java syntax in a few hours. Especially someone strong with OOP. Now, getting used to it, getting proficient enough to write good code and most importantly understanding the little nuances of any language can take a long long time. Its been 5 years and I still don't think I know enough C# |

Is Software Testing Really Needed? @anto No, I'm from Mumbai. I used to teach at Aptech a few years ago and I've met/taught a lot of B.E. and Bsc(CS/IT) students. I know what you feel like. But its good that you're trying to learn.. not many people do. |

Is Software Testing Really Needed? @anto :) its what I thought. I've met a good deal of guys done/doing a B.E. Programming is more "write a program to print asterisk in a triangle" Just start programming.... thats all you need to do. (1) Get some books (2) Read tutorials online (3) Look at code, download samples, open source apps. Then you'll know the diff. between you college programs and real world programs and why you need testing. =) |
