comment When is it okay to ship a product with a known bug?
+1 Even Toyota sells the cars with bugs, just to enter the market earlier than competitors with new models. AFAIK it is cheaper to sell and then repair, than spend years to finish it and sell w/o bugs

comment Do people in non-English-speaking countries code in English?
I'm Russian, but I hate code member names written in russian. Who said that I will support this code all the time? May be tomorrow I'll be fired, and on my place will be somebody from other country.

comment experience: coding on netbooks
there was a time when we coded on 80x25 screens (textual). So I guess it is possible to code something not huge (small projects with not much files to parse with intellisence) on netbooks. Even sometimes I do python coding on my android smartphone. Another question is that netbooks are not oriented on coding.

comment What's the “normal” range for typing speed for developers?
Agree. The main goal is not 40+ WPM, but "N critical issues from bugtracking per day", where N tends to "All critical issues". It's not good if a developer type 100WPM and 90% tasks return to him back with bugs.

comment Do you have any techniques to help you get started in the morning?
@rsteckly, Unfortunately, we don't have a shower in the building where the office is. So once I come to the office, 1) I go to restroom, use a wet towel wipes on body (really helps), 2) then I change the clothes to regular set (jeans+tshirt, we don't have a dresscode), 3) put clothes on the heater (better if it is far from other co-workers), and nobody cares about it ;)

@Nawaz, yes, you are right. This might be a trap.

@Nawaz, sure. I 'll not add an entry here since it doesn't fit to the subject, mb in other topic. So what did I mean: as I see your property, this is a part of entity. Entity is probably from db. Usually we create classes that maps to tables w/fields. What I was saying about is: Not to create classes w/props manually, but create a template for them in CodeSmith (comm) or T4 (free) and use every time when the database is changed, so it will create classes (entities) and properties (from fields) automatically. Hope my explanation is clear.
