Thank you for this post. I'm reading through Learn You some Erlang now, and I'm halfway through the book, but I'm getting the feeling that I'll need to know all of it before I'll be able to really begin to do something moderately significant, and not just take it piece by piece

Don't get the downvotes here... @jetti.. best way to learn something is by doing/making something @jhocking.. no, I don't have to.. but i'm learning @josh I didn't invent the comparison, nor am I here to start a flame war.. anyone who spends 5 mins looking into Node.js sees that the first thing it gets compared with is Erlang. As a beginner with both of those, i'm expressing my sentiment, and want to see if anyone else has the same issues I do
