comment Is big-O really that relevant when working in industry?
@Tho I bet you like this argument a lot :); I got your point and I promise that I will study again my old friend Fibonacci. Anyway the "except case" is something you would probably want to optimize just if you really need it.

@Tho if you need to sort you just use the sorting functions provided by your language of choice that I doubt will be a bubble sort. Regarding Fibonacci (Nitpicky, with one b), although Italian like me I hate that guy :) and I really never used his damned number sequence in real life.

+1 for "Big O will come and eat you" ..fantastic!

@Tho no :), I'm saying that I have never done proof of Computational Complexity for my programs; but I believe it really depends on what kind of software you are developing. Obviously I don't program with a slice of salame in front of my eyes and I know how to avoid dangerous O(n^2) bad performance.

@MM01 I've studied it in high school and University. Although I recognize it as a building block of a Programmer knowledge, I never used it in any of my job.

comment Have you ever been involved in a BIG Rewrite?
A project that is consolidated during many years; ie not a project that can be rewrited in one month.
