I'm a computer programmer who's writing the software that is used by other programmers to write software. I work at Microsoft in the Visual C++ team. I love real-time and native programming languages, in particular C++ and D.
Why are most browsers developed in C++
Mason, C++ it's not just considered fast, it is fast, I'm not sure what you mean by "broken object model", C++ is a performance oriented language designed for performance, C#/Java aren't, ironically nor are languages that are perceived as playing in the same turf as C++ like D and Go, yes a big part of writing in C++ is the momentum it's tracked, but make no mistake, if you want absolute control about every aspect of the execution, and a large set of abstractions that cost virtually nothing, C++ is one of the only few (if not the only) options out there
