comment Is there any algorithm to calculate highest possible return on stock market?
I think it is too simple to find research on it. High-school math skills and a year of fun in programming should be enough - even with the limitations.

I just read about AntiPatterns as it refers to procedural backgrounds, too.

I disagree that the strategy pattern is useful for that. It is about varying the algorithm. In this case the algorithm does not vary.

What does "it fails to scale if the number of services or parameters grows" mean? Could you write some sentences?

comment Does it ever make sense to read from and/or write to a bound, listening socket?
I deleted the question.. I do not remember why i posted it. bind is used to assign a port to a socket. You need a port if you want to listen. You can specify a port for the socket before you connect from a specific port to a specific port, which makes no sense in many cases for TCP but may make sense for UDP sockets.

@RobertHarvey The comment mentioned this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here_document "Heredoc" is another name. And additionally in Mime (e-mails) it is called "boundary".

comment Language/Programming term for paired delimiters
This can be a hint: stackoverflow.com/questions/14893722/… Maybe you would look into grammars that describe languages.
