Moment to release an app to the App Store I wish I had thought of this question. It'll probably get to 1k views. |

What are the essential things I should know about the Mac? If you can't get along with Mac OS X you can always install Windows or Linux on it using Boot Camp. |

Stuff every programmer needs while working My company replaced all of the fluorescent lighting in the building (All 5 floors) with sunlight balanced (D-50) lighting. It was a bit odd during the transition, but I like it much better than the cheap lights. |

Worst coding standard you've ever had to follow? Isn't being restricted to certain columns a coding standard? |

Worst coding standard you've ever had to follow? I missed punch cards by a half dozen years or so. My first programming class was taught on Commodore Super Pets with a cassette tape for storage. |

Worst coding standard you've ever had to follow? It's a bit fuzzy, being this happened almost 20 years ago. You also need to know that a non-whitespace character in col 6 was a continuation of the previous line. I had an if statement that spanned multiple lines and what was out beyond col 72, when you ignored it, was still syntactically correct, so the compiler wasn't really wrong, but it could have put out a warning. I spent a total of about four hours figuring this out. This was on an HP-1000 mini running RTE. |
