@EvanPlaice so basically, if I would like to follow this 0MQ solution, I should avoid any form of IPC and use the network ? This sound strange because all the network messages are managed trough a serialized pipeline as far as i know.

why a programmer should go multi-process ? I mean I assume that with more than 1 process you also need some kind of inter-process communication that can add a significant overhead, is this something like the old windows-programmer way of doing things ? when should i go multi-process ? Thanks for your reply by the way, really good picture of what async and multi-threaded are good for.
