comment How exactly do exclusive code rights work?
I believe this only covers the specific implementation, so if you are allowed to write a generic database class, but not, say, a class to interface with their specific drivers. This is pretty standard in my experience, and if it bothers you, perhaps your should consult with an attorney?

I agree with this. Most employers I've worked with, firmly, have a catch all clause when you sign.

@Telastyn I'm not concerned with method chaining, itself, but the returning of self, when otherwise you wouldn't return anything. Also, could you elaborate on your thoughts about method chaining?

comment When deploying code to a production server, how are non-source code assets such as images and PDFs managed?
In our particular case, the assets do need to be synced across the various stages of deployment. RSync had occurred to me, and it may be ideal, but I was hoping for something easier for our less server friendly devs.

Two reasons:a) Can't even do an initial commit of 15GB b) Our VC is hosted, and has us at a 2GB cap.

comment Automatically verifying INSERTs when building a PHP(5.3.3) application
Every Query returns an array, you can compare your $_POST or $object->data to the data is query array. However, it is a bit much to do that myself, if someone has done it elsewhere. As for validation, it isn't just validation that has to be managed, processing and converting of data changes from what we receive to what we want.
