I'm currently reading for a PhD in evolution of plant pathogen genomes at the Sainsbury Laboratory and the University of East Anglia in Norwich. I work in the Kamoun Lab, most recently activities centre around setting up evolution experiments and computational work. I'm in the process of learning C++ in my spare time. I most often use the R language, but I came to working with it during my undergrad years as a tool for doing statistical analysis of biological data. Recently I've been asked to build packages and functions to do simulation in R and have been learning how to make such simulation programs with it. I'd say I'm computer literate, but certainly not a programmer.
