Why is Google blocking users from accessing their local file system in Chromium? This post explains why they block local file from accessing remote sites and vice versa. It doesn't explain why block a local file from accessing another local file. If they implement the first option, the second attack would be useless since an attacker won't be able to send the sensitive data anywhere. |

Why is Google blocking users from accessing their local file system in Chromium? What about a local webapp or an extension? Is it forced to store all its data in a single long html file? |
