comment Why do I need to use recursion on the classic employee manager database relationship?
I'm using 11gR2, so I can use the With statement CTE style.

So it is when you can't just list them all.

comment Applying RESTful design to an entire website?
Ajax, REST, and external linking to your REST site can be a nightmare. Thank you for your answer.

comment How do I structure a URL with several querystring items?
@thorstenmüller Does it matter if POST is used instead of GET? Querystring makes me think of GET.

@Snowman It looks like it is. The answer seems to be "whatever makes sense."

comment How do I structure a URL with several querystring items?
I thought it was RESTful. I don't have the PUT, etc. in the string.

comment How can I know if my data needs to be a react.js component?
Shouldn't it be something I reuse though? Isn't that one of the big reasons for using react?

I'm strictly talking about the model layer that uses the database. I have what you are describing. I have a BLL (I call that part of the model) that has findSomething($id). That calls the database, in my other non-model VC areas I just call findSomething($id). In my model later the function findSomething($id) I have the actual SQL. I pass that the PDO connection. If I don't have a wrapper class, how can I pass that PDO connection around? Just include a file that has the raw PDO connection in it?

If I use straight PDO, how can I pass that around as an object? If I don't use a wrapper around PDO, does that mean I'd have to include the PDO connection in an require/include or in the constructor of each class that uses it?
