What order do you develop program layers? Interesting bounty from the non-asker. |

How to enter flow experience for SW development? I find I need a picture of Edgar Codd and a picture of a flying sheep. Not being facetious. But that's just me. |

What to do when the programming activity becomes a problem? Having all your tasks documented before you start on them would be incredibly boring, and would stifle any creative impulse. But if it floats your bucket. |

Do you have any techniques to help you get started in the morning? Doesn't look like we're allowed to answer, but this is similar to mine: we had a jigsaw puzzle going at my last work. 15 minutes of that in the morning was somehow exactly the right kind of stimulus to get going. |

Do you have any techniques to help you get started in the morning? Hah just rewatched Office Space last night. And the "I only did real work for 15 minutes a day" comment reminded me that if it's the right 15 minutes, you can be more productive than anyone around you. |

How to explain a layperson why a developer should not be interrupted while neck-deep in coding? I like this one the best, because a lot of people will understand it, and because it sufficiently expresses that it won't take 15 minutes to get back into it, it will take longer than the first time and with worse results., |

Correct definition of the term “Yak Shaving” To be precise, this definition is "Something useless you do because you were over-focussed and couldn't take a step back." |
