comment Error in c++ code -Templates
Certainly not as it stands. But if he explains what it is supposed to do and how it is going wrong, then it will be acceptable.

comment When to use single-line if statements?
I am astonished that there is not one single mention of the word "breakpoint" on this page. If you are debugging and only want to stop when the action is taken, how will you do that if it is all on a single line? And if your stop on the single line and one-step, how do you know if any action was taken or not?

comment What can go wrong with composing a method name out of a string?
Perhaps - but wouldn't the point of the question - "what can go wrong with this" - depend upon the language?

comment “Read” a file without using a file pointer
Yup! interviewSmell++; You do not want to work for a company which uses gotchas during the interview. You can either explain that clearly, or go into a long series of "am I allowed to ... ?", culminating with "am I allowed to move all of the piano tuners in Philadelphia to Mount Fuji (and place them under manhole covers)?" - then exit, stage left

comment How to add a new developer to the team
"Documentation and comments are incomplete" ... "The client has written down almost every detail about his project, in a very clear and "programmer-friendly" way". Get the new guy to translate the client’s writings into design documentation, then "There are unit tests only for more recent code. When this project started, we didn't regularly conduct tests" get him to write & run tests. He won't be getting in your way and will be contributing to the project
